NUML University Islamabad

In 1969, the Government of Pakistan established the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) with the primary aim of teaching both Oriental and Occidental languages. The university was initially focused on providing language education to members of the armed forces, government officials, and other individuals in public service. Today, NUML offers a wide variety of courses and serves thousands of students from both national and international backgrounds.

Introduction of NUML University Islamabad

On May 29, 2000, NUML was upgraded to a university. Achieving this milestone of becoming a fully autonomous institution, it has overcome many challenges and established itself as a prominent center of learning, contributing new knowledge both locally and globally. The university now offers instruction in 27 Oriental and Occidental languages, along with a range of emerging disciplines. Additionally, NUML boasts a vibrant and well-established research program, providing MS/MPhil and PhD degrees across various fields.
