Introduction of Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University

Balochistan proudly houses its first Women’s University in Quetta. Recognizing a longstanding need, Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani established the Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University through Ordinance No. 1 of 2004. On August 26, 2004, the Balochistan Provincial Assembly passed The Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University Act. The university, located in the generously donated Sardar Bahadur Khan Sanatorium spanning 40 acres, became Balochistan’s first and Pakistan’s third Women’s University. Since then, it has provided a haven for women from Balochistan and Pakistan pursuing educational and intellectual pursuits.
