University of Gujarat
Gujrat, a modern town with ancient roots, was founded by Raja Bachan Pal, a Surajbansi Rajput. Originally called Udanagri, meaning “the everlasting city,” it has a notable educational history. The Zamindar Educational Association established a high school in 1921 and Zamindar College in 1937, attracting students from Attock, Jhelum, Mianwali, Sargodha, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
