UVAS Lahore is a special university of veterinary and animal sciences in Pakistan. Currently, UVAS comprises 23 departments across five faculties, four institutes, and two constituent colleges, in addition to seven affiliated institutes located in Attock, Rawalpindi, Sheikhupura, Okara, Lahore, Narowal, and Sahiwal. Its former name was the College of Veterinary Sciences Lahore.
Introduction of UVAS
The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), originally known as Lahore Veterinary College, is a public university situated in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. Established in 1882, it is one of the oldest institutions of veterinary sciences and microbiology in Asia and one of the earliest institutions established by Great Britain in the Indian subcontinent.
